Children In Need (CIN) analysis in Nexus provides powerful reporting and insight into educational performance, progress and contextual factors of Children in Need, across local authority boundaries, alongside regional and national context, helping local authorities improve educational outcomes for vulnerable children.

SEN2 analytics provide clear infographics and data commentary for children with EHCPs within the local authority, alongside regional and national context.

All member authorities have access to both Children in Need (CIN) and SEN2 analytics within Nexus as part of the core service provided to the NCER membership.

Purpose & Aims

Children in Need and SEN2 analysis in Nexus provides a national evidence-base for analysing Children in Need and SEN2 cohorts and educational outcomes providing data to local authorities at the earliest opportunity.

The flexibility of Children in Need and SEN2 analysis inside Nexus allows local authorities to create fine grade analysis. Together, and in combination with CLA analysis, these high quality analytics provide effective tools to support local authorities with a consistent national approach to management reporting and inspection evidence for vulnerable children.
