We have detected you are using an older browser and need to bring the following to your attention.
The NCER and Angel Solutions take the security of your data very seriously and continually strive to stay ahead of the latest global security threats. The most recent of these is called 'Poodle' and may affect you if you are using an old internet browser such as Internet Explorer 6.
Due to the vulnerabilities of these older browsers, a decision has been made to disable all of our products within old versions of Internet Explorer (version 6 or before). This means that if you currently use Internet Explorer 6 or earlier, you will not be able to log in to Nexus until you update your browser.
Whilst this was the only option given the nature of this threat, we hope that you can see it is essential that we do this and it underlines how seriously we take security.
If this affects you, please be aware that the browser you are using is now over 13 years old. We request that you update to a more secure browser as soon as possible. This will not cost you anything and is is a straight forward process.
Here is a list of more secure and up-to-date internet browsers:
You may want to ask your IT manager to do this if you don't have the necessary permissions to update this on your machine. If you think your local authority will be affected by the disabling of access via older versions of Internet Explorer then please contact our support team.
You can read about the security threat in more detail here
Thank you for using Nexus and be assured that we will continue to do all we can to keep your data safe.
Welcome to the National Consortium for Examination Results Community Interest Company’s (NCER) website. We are a non-profit making organisation providing essential educational performance data analysis systems for Local Authorities in England and also Jersey, Guernsey, Isles of Scilly, Isle of Man and Service Children’s Education Authority (SCEA). Our membership now consists of 155 member authorities.
Local authorities subscribe to NCER in order to have access to a suite of NCER data systems, namely the NEXUS Dashboards, including KEYPAS and RM Education’s EPAS. The reports produced by the NCER systems are widely used nationally and assist Local Authorities in providing a high quality data service, as well as supporting schools and academies in preparing and providing evidence for Local Members/Cabinet/Senior Council Leaders and for Ofsted inspections.
NCER Members can log in and access additional NCER services on the NEXUS website. If you don't have a user account, please contact your NEXUS administrator.
