Responsibilities of the post

  1. To be responsible for the development and delivery of NCER software

  2. To Chair ad-hoc groups set up by Steering Group to progress work on software systems.

  3. To co-ordinate responses to software queries from member LEAs.

  4. To provide technical support and advice for the successful operation of the NCER web site.

  5. To ensure that the software requirements of NCER members are assessed and due account is taken of member's views where NCER software development is concerned.

  6. To assist with training regarding the NCER software.

  7. To contribute to the NCER Annual Report particularly with regard to software issues.

  8. To work with other elected officers on the NCER Management Group

  9. To liaise, as appropriate with other groups and professional bodies

  10. To assist with NCER Conferences

  11. To deputise for other officers as and when required

  12. To attend meetings of the Steering Group and Management Group Meetings.
